What is PBIS?
PBIS is a researched based national framework that supports schools in a proactive way to deal with behavior. In using the PBIS framework we will develop practices to prevent problem behavior and teach and reinforce expected behaviors consistently across school settings.
As we collect and monitor data, we will determine whether the interventions are working and will be able to adjust as needed.
It’s been reported that when PBIS is implemented with fidelity student behavior improves.
SHadow Cards & Tiger Bucks
Students are expected to carry a Shadow Card with them whenever they are walking in the hallway. Shadow Cards go home daily.
Tiger Bucks are a part of the incentive program at Annistown. We encourage all staff to be involved in giving out Tiger Bucks to students exhibiting positive behavior throughout the school. Students earn Tiger Bucks toward special incentives throughout the year.
